What we do
Kingdom Lifestyle Mission, provides supplementary education for underprivileged children. Running free weekly supplementary Saturday schools and vacation classes during school holidays. Our goal is to help children in deprived communities by providing them extra lessons in order to bridge the gap between them and their more affluent or privileged counterparts. KLM also freely provides the children in attendance with learning materials, stationery and a meal. In exceptional cases KLM put children who have had to drop out of school back into full time education. As a charity we seek to inspire, engage and create opportunities for underprivileged children across the globe. This international charity was birthed by the Highway of Holiness Church which is a UK registered charity. It was formed in December 2012 and is headed by the Chief Executive Officer, Pastor Alex Gyasi MBE and his wife Mrs Dorcas Gyasi.
How we do it
In every country we are present, we mobilise students from the nearest university institution to the most deprived area. KLM encourages university students to spend their Saturday morning teaching underprivileged children, from families who cannot afford the best education or afford to send their children to school at all. Students work as volunteers, with only their travel expenses paid and a meal offered. We believe it is important to get young adults involved in building up the next generation and to be inspirations and friends to the less privileged. We believe their involvement with these children, will help them develop a compassion for such people so that when they assume influential positions in society in the future they may have the drive and compassion to bridge the gap between the poor and the wealthy because of their experiences.
